What am I thankful for?

This year I launched a new business - my business - always a dream but never dreamed it would become a reality. www.gofreepants.com This year I met many wonderful people who have helped me along the way, two of which are actress Lydia Cornell and jazz singer Melva Houston. Would have never dreamed famous performers would consider me a friend - but it happened. Four short months after Go Free was launched in June 2010, we have been invited to be at the "Red Carpet Ready" Pre-Oscar Week Suite at the Beverly Hilton Feb. 24-26, 2011. Never dreamed that would be possible, but it happened. And then BAM! Just this past Sunday I fainted, fell flat on my face and right this minute have stitches in three areas of my face. Wow - what was that all about? Maybe to remind me that the really important things in life are not owning a business or getting to go to Hollywood and meet famous people. The things in life that really matter are love, kindness, generosity, helping others, being a good listener, and showing everyone respect and compassion. It's those priceless things I'm most thankful for this year, and the wonderful thing is, we can all do those things. Doesn't cost a dime to love, be compassionate and caring to another person. The amazing things that have happened to me and Go Free Pants this year are just that - amazing....but they too are happening for a reason I believe. As many of you know, a portion of the proceeds to Go Free Pants go to support programs like hospice and cancer research. My hope is to establish an endowment for hospice one day to buffer any future cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. That is one of many hopes I have for giving back to the community. I hope you embrace whatever your passion is and find ways to give back to your fellow man and our planet as well. So...dream big, believe in the impossible, and be thankful for the things money can't buy. Happy Thanksgiving! Tina

Pre-Oscar Week Suite at Beverly Hilton

Oh my - what a month! October has been very exciting for Go Free! We introduced a beautiful new fall/winter collection including warm corduroy and velveteen. Then we get a call from TMG International inviting us to display the pants at their 2011 Pre-Oscar Week Suite at the Beverly Hilton February 24-26! Really? Yes, really! Just a few months after launching the website and introducing Go Free Pants to the fashion world, we're going to the Oscars! Man, that is just unbelievable!

November is proving to be an exciting month as well with two special parties planned. Our first fashion show will be at Ding's at Reynolda Manor in Winston-Salem Saturday Nov. 6 from 4p-6p. The very next day Melva Houston, internationally known jazz singer, will host a party for Go Free in Mt. Airy Sunday, Nov. 7 from 3p-6p. Both events will have wine, cheese, and a fun atmosphere to get you in the mood for holiday shopping. Come, enjoy and help us celebrate going to the Oscars! Tina

Go Free Pants Charitable Contribution to Cancer Services

This beautiful picture of Melva Houston, internationally known jazz singer, was auctioned at a fund raising event for Cancer Services. I was there with a table for Go Free Pants and Melva fell in love with them! She wanted one in every color and worn them on stage during a performance the very next week. This painting was done on the spot during the event by Chip Holton, the renowned artist whose work is, among other places, at the Childress Vineyard and the O'Henry Hotel in Greensboro, NC. Guess who won the bid for this painting? Go Free Pants! I am so proud to have this painting and was thrilled to contribute the money to Cancer Services to support the wonderful work they do. The painting is being framed now but I didn't want to wait to share it with you. Enjoy! Tina

The 3 new businesses include food, jewelry and clothes - what girl doesn't love all three of those?! Should be great fun! July Newsletter

It's mid-July and the newsletter is out! I've decided I'll do that by design. I like posting the newsletter mid-month. Go Free is new and innovative - so the newsletter should be as well!

The other thing about mid-July is that it's HOT! The great thing about the selection of Go Free pants is that all the fabrics are year-round fabrics! It doesn't matter what the season is...they are great for any time of year. There are some great styles coming out for fall/winter, but don't wait! You deserve a little Christmas in July now.

I went to a Chamber of Commerce function last night and the response to the pants was wonderful. The ladies loved them...the gentlemen loved them. She's happy. He's happy. I think I may have found the secret to world peace!

Here's the newsletter. You can also find it on the In The News page.

Thanks for making our first month so exciting. I'd love to hear from you so let me know what you think about your new Go Free pants!!

Go Free Pants site - 1 month old today!

The site went live 1 month ago today! It has been a wonderful, exciting month! It takes a village, and among the many people who have played an important part in Go Free Pants, the "elders in my village" are Carol, Bobby and Wick. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! So very lucky that each of you came into my life to guide me on this amazing journey.

A very special thank you to all who are now enjoying the comfort and freedom of Go Free pants! How does it feel to be among the first? Pretty cool, huh? Did you know that two of the first three orders were from men for the ladies in the life? True!

The coming months/years will be very exciting, but nothing quite seems to compare to that scary, exciting, nail-biting experience of the site launch. One month and counting! It's a new day for women's pants! Enjoy! http://www.gofreepants.com/

What are you...Commando, Thongs, Bikinis or Granny Pants?

I was a granny pant girl until several of my friends convinced me to try thongs and going commando (no undergarment at all). I was 50 years old at the time and I must say, I hesitated to try it. But since my girlfriends were so insistent, I agreed. I quickly learned thongs are not for me. Not my idea of comfortable. But when I tried going commando, I found myself giggling with my hand in front of my mouth like it was my little secret. Fun Fun Fun! And dare I say, it made me feel sexy! More fun! Not having any panty lines was great as well. But that cross seam was not making me happy. That's how the Go Free pants design came to me! So...what are you? Are you a granny pant girl like I used to be? Are you a thong girl? Maybe you prefer bikinis or boy shorts? Do you go commando sometimes or all the time? Let me hear from you! Now that I have Go Free pants, if I can't Go Free, I prefer to go with a skirt! Tina

Welcome to Go Free Pants!

Welcome to the new world of Go Free pants! It's a rare day when comfort and beauty stand shoulder to shoulder. That's exactly what Go Free pants have done in a revolutionary new design specifically for women. That uncomfortable cross seam in traditional pants has been replaced with a smooth, comfortable cotton panel sewn directly into the pant. That means undergarments are totally optional! And that means NO MORE PANTY OR THONG LINES if you so choose. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make the biggest difference. Wearing Go Free pants makes me happy! And we all know, if mama's happy, everybody's happy!

I would love to hear from you. How do you feel about that cross seam in traditional pants? How do you feel about panty lines? Thanks for visiting the first Go Free pants blog. I hope you come back often! Tina
